My name is Jiwon Kim and I’m located in Vancouver, British Columbia. I’m a graphic designer with a creative and highly detail-oriented approach to my work.

From guiding local small business through brand discovery and developing their unique identities, to designing and building optimized web experiences that helped kick-start the ventures of new entrepreneurs. I’ve also had the opportunity to develop my soft skills through several years of working in customer service in the café and food industry. I learned valuable lessons in clear communication with both co-workers and customers, efficiency in management of time and resources, and the importance of healthy team collaboration.

My Foundation

Story Translated into Design

One of the most inspiring parts of design for me is translating meaningful stories into small visual details. I love crafting designs that carry emotional narratives especially when people notice them and feel something. Their emotional responses are the most rewarding part of my work.

My Layered Identity

I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, where my cultural roots and family stories shaped a big part of who I am. Recently, I married my best friend a gentle soul from a small town in Northern BC, Canada. Since then, my world has grown more colourful, and every day feels new and full of curiosity.

How I Am Inspired

Travel gives me energy and perspective. While I usually prefer quiet getaways surrounded by nature, my first trip to Europe in 2024 was a defining moment. It opened my eyes to wider narratives, diverse cultures, and new ways of seeing the world. It remains one of the most inspiring investments I’ve made in myself.
